Carbon tetrafluoride  CF4  has a molecular geometry of tetrahedral. In a tetrahedral structure, the central carbon atom is surrounded by four fluorine atoms, with each fluorine atom occupying one corner of a regular tetrahedron. As for polarity, CF4 is a nonpolar molecule. This is because the electronegativity difference between carbon and fluorine atoms is not significant enough to create a polar bond, and the symmetric tetrahedral arrangement of the fluorine atoms around the central carbon atom results in the cancellation of any possible dipole moments. Therefore, the overall molecule has no net dipole moment, making it nonpolar.
