The biosocial theory suggests that both biological and environmental factors contribute to the development of conduct disorder, with biological factors  e.g., impulsivity, low arousal  increasing susceptibility to environmental factors  e.g., abuse, neglect  that trigger conduct disorder. This theory was proposed by Terrie Moffitt.
